Oysters are grown commercially in Humboldt Bay. Crescent City & Eureka to a lesser degree still have fishing (very small, single boat stuff). Towns worth a trip include Garberville, Ferndale, old town Eureka, Arcata plaza, Trinidad, and Crescent City. You can include hwy 1 and or Sonoma (the town) and Napa if you have the time. The drive from SF to Redwood National Park is about 6 hours. It is called the Arcata Airport, but is in McKinleyville-only a few miles north of Arcata.
